our mission |
According to the American Association of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD), tooth decay affects nearly 1 in 5 children under 5. It is the number one disease in children. By catching any developing conditions early, we will be able to diagnose and treat them effectively. We will be able to check for tooth decay, injuries, and other issues during your visit and will be able to track changes in your baby's mouth as they age. We do a functional oral health evaluation to include diet, breathing, product guidance, and an intra-oral assessment.
Knowledge is power! Ideally, by taking appropriate measures early enough, we can prevent oral disease from taking root altogether. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that infants be scheduled for an initial oral evaluation within six months of the eruption of the first primary tooth but by no later than 12 months of age. |
We are passionate about counseling parents to clean the infant's gums daily before eruption of the first primary tooth in an effort to help establish a healthy oral flora. Dr. Nora reviews nutrition, supplementation, nasal breathing awareness, and oral habits such as thumb/pacifier use.
